22 May update
Priority for Otaika Valley Road/SH15 traffic
Our email yesterday advised customers that a give-way sign is to be installed at the intersection of Otaika Valley Road/SH15 and Loop Road (south). This is incorrect. We apologise for any confusion and we thank customers for alerting us to the error in our communications.
As outlined in yesterday’s update, all traffic exiting Loop Road (south) will be required to stop at the intersection with Otaika Valley Road/SH15.
And, from late next week, traffic heading down Otaika Valley Road/SH15 towards SH1 will have priority over traffic exiting Loop Road (south).
The new sign communicating priority for SH15 traffic at the intersection is shown here.
Line marking at the intersection of Otaika Valley Road/SH15 and Loop Road (south) is scheduled for Tuesday (weather permitting) before the new signs are unveiled.
Line marking and sign unveiling marks the completion of works at the Otaika Valley Road/SH15 intersection, which means the posted speed on Otaika Valley Road/SH15 will return to 100km/hr next week.
Please take extra care through the intersection as drivers adjust to the change in priority.
